Larry Gross was born in Minot, ND but grew up in Minneapolis, MN. He received his BA degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College. While attending Pillsbury he met and married Jolean Reeverts from Cut Bank, Montana. While working on his Master of Divinity from Central Seminary in Minneapolis, MN., he served as junior high youth pastor at Woodcrest Baptist in Fridley, MN., and then as youth pastor in Barron, WI.
After completing his Master of Divinity, he became the youth pastor and school principal at First Baptist Church of Waupaca for eleven years. It was during this time he was ordained and licensed. He then went on to become the lead pastor for 26 years. He resigned as lead pastor in October of 2013. He and his wife moved to Northland Missions in the spring of 2016 to serve at the camp. He then had the privilege to return to Waupaca in the fall of 2017 to serve as pastor of the senior citizens. He and his wife are blessed with four children and their spouses, Jason (Brenda). Heather (Rich), Judson (Jenny) and Torrey, and fourteen grandchildren. His life verse is Acts 20:24, "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."
